The seven piece MultiMandrel!" set is ideal for making metal clay rings as well as for the tradition wax worker! The steel mandrel stand can be inverted so that you can work on rings from two directions and the mandrel can be removed from the holder for hand held detail work.
The mandrel set consists of the mandrel stand and 6 aluminum double-ended mandrels for full sizes 4 to size 15, allowing you to make metal clay rings in sizes 2 to 13. This size range allows for the approximate 2 size shrinkage when making rings from PMC3, PMC+ and clays with similar characteristics. When used with the HattieS Patties!" these mandrels allow you to make your rings to exact finished sizes. The untapered mandrels are especially well suited for wide rings!
A half size mandrel set is also available, as well as extra mandrels in sizes 6/7 and 8/9 to allow you to work on several rings of the same size at once. The optional Wooden Mandrel Holder is a great way to keep your workspace organized.
NOTE: Multi-Mandrel™ is made from aluminum and should not come into direct contact with metal clay. We recommend HattieS™ X-tra Wide Ring Forming Strips to be used with these mandrels to avoid any possible metal clay contact with the mandrel. A starter set of forming strips is included. They are also sold separately in packages of 24 pieces.
