Gather the materials included with your Hot Pot. You will also need a long match.

Take the lid off of the Hot Pot. |

Place the mini flower pot in the Hot Pot. Fill it to the rim with the fuel that is in the squeeze bottle (approx. 1.1oz.). |

Place the circular firing grate on the Hot Pot as shown. Then set your PMC3 piece(s) on the firing grate. |

Put the lid back on the Hot Pot. |

Install the mesh flame arrestor on top of the Hot Pot as shown. This keeps flames from coming out of the top of the Hot Pot. |

Place the Hot Pot on the included heatproof square. Then insert a lit long match in the large hole in the side of the Hot Pot to ignite fuel. The Hot Pot will burn for approximately 15 minutes. Let it burn itself out. The Hot Pot will be hot. Do not touch it with your bare hands. After it has cooled, remove your piece using tweezers, as it may still be hot. It is that simple! |

Additional Notes and Warnings: Use the Hot Pot ONLY for firing PMC3 silver clay made by Mitsubishi Material Corporation
- Make sure to place Hot Pot on enclosed heatproof square before firing
- Fire Hot Pot in well ventilated area
- When you fire the Hot Pot, organic binder contained in the clay will burn and create a small amount of smoke. While this happens, you can remove the lid of the pot using hotpad holders to release the smoke
- Do not place the Hot Pot near curtains or other flammable items
- During firing and the initial cooling period the surface of the pot will be extremely hot. Do not touch the pot directly
- During firing, be sure to wear heatproof gloves to avoid burns
- The Hot Pot is for adult use only. Children should be supervised. Keep children away from a firing pot
- Do not touch the heated silver clay with a bare hand; use tweezers
- The fuel is not edible. If ingested, call a physician immediately. Keep fuel out of the reach of children
- The fuel is made mainly of methanol. Approximately 30 grams (1.1 oz.) of fuel is required for each firing. Vapors fom the fuel sometimes irritates your eyes. Keep your face away from the pot during firing and use in a well ventilated area
- Install the mesh flame arrestor on top of the Hot Pot as shown. This keeps flames from coming out of the top of the Hot Pot. If the arrestor moves during firing, reposition it using tweezers or pliers
- Before you ignite the fuel, install the mesh flame arrestor and place the dry PMC3 piece(s) on the grill. Then place the top of the Hot Pot onto the base. Ignite fuel through the larger hole located at the base of the Hot Pot using a fireplace lighter or fireplace match
- The firing process takes about 15 minutes. Simple allow the fuel to burn out by itself
- The maximum size of your piece must be 40mm x 40mm and weigh less than 20 grams. If you fire more than one piece, be sure that the total of size and weight doesn't exceed the limit mentioned here
- Wait for the fuel to burn itself out. Do not try to take your piece out with our bare hands. It usually takes at least 10 minutes for your piece to cool down. If you want to move it before 10 minutes, use tweezers. We recomment waiting
- In case of an emergency such as the firing pot falls down and you need to put out the fire immediately, pour water on the flame. Before you reuse the pot, make sure it is completely dry
- Store the Hot Pot in a dry place and out of direct sunlight
- Having small cracks in the Hot Pot is safe. You can continue to use it. If the cracks increase to the point that the it may break, STOP using the pot.
